The Dr. Faisal Sulley Foundation, in collaboration with Magajiyoyin Masarauta Zangon Ankara, has organised a free breast cancer screening and health education programme at Night
Market, Makola, Accra Zango, as part of its commitment to promoting preventive healthcare, improving health awareness and empowering underserved communities.

The programme, held on Saturday, 31st October 2026, provided free breast screening, breast ultrasound scans and health education on breast cancer.

The initiative was designed to encourage early detection, improve public understanding of breast cancer, dispel common misconceptions and empower women to take proactive steps towards protecting their health.

Through the programme, participants were encouraged to know their risk, seek timely screening, recognise warning signs and seek appropriate medical attention when necessary.

Speaking on the importance of the initiative, Dr. (Med) Faisal Sulley emphasised that early detection remains an important part of the fight against breast cancer. Breast cancer awareness and screening should not be limited to Breast Cancer Awareness Month but must become an integral part of routine health-seeking behaviour.

He also highlighted the importance of accessible healthcare services, particularly for women and families in underserved communities who may face financial, social or informational barriers to accessing essential health services.

The screening programme reflects the Foundation’s broader vision and commitment to advancing health, education and community development.

Through advocacy, health screening, mentorship, education, skills training, empowerment and community development initiatives, the Foundation seeks to bridge societal gaps, expand access to opportunities and improve the quality of life of individuals and communities.

Beyond healthcare, the Dr. Faisal Sulley Foundation is committed to nurturing young people through mentorship, raising champions and developing responsible individuals who can become positive change agents in society.

It also advocates for a drug-free society, peaceful coexistence, tolerance and social harmony. These commitments are anchored in the values of care, compassion, hope and collective responsibility.

The Foundation recognises that sustainable community development requires more than addressing immediate needs; it demands empowering people with knowledge, skills, opportunities and the confidence to shape their own futures.

Its approach therefore combines health interventions with education, advocacy and social empowerment to create lasting impact.

The Foundation also acknowledges the invaluable partnership of Magajiyoyin Masarauta Zangon Ankara and the importance of collaboration with traditional, religious and community-based institutions in advancing public health and development initiatives.

Such partnerships are essential to building trust, strengthening community participation and ensuring that interventions reach the people who need them most.

As the Foundation continues its work, it remains committed to promoting healthier families, empowered individuals and stronger communities. Its message is simple: Know your risk. Detect early. Get screened. Seek care. Support one another.

Guided by its motto, “Advancing Health, Education and Community Development,” the Dr. Faisal Sulley Foundation believes that through collective action, compassion and sustained commitment, meaningful change is possible.

Together, we can raise champions, transform lives and build healthier, stronger and more empowered communities.
