The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency in the Greater Accra Region, John Dumelo has described as an act of ‘stupidity’ the decision to share food for security personnel who queued up to go cast their ballots in the 2024 elections.
Footage from the Legon Police Station polling centre, captured Madam Alhassan on Monday handing out bags of food and water to individuals in the voting queue assisted by her team.
The incident caused some agitation at the polling centre, raising concerns about voter influence.
John Dumelo reacting to this act in an interview monitored by GhNewsPage.Com, said he could not fathom why the MP would engage in such acts when she knows it’s clearly against the laws governing the conduct of elections in the country.
“You are sharing something and we don’t even know what is even in it. What kind of stupidity is this? Or they think we can’t do it, we can even do worse…,” he said.
