The Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), on 14th August, 2025, inaugurated an independent Committee with the mandate to select viable and scalable businesses for The Adwumawura Programme.

This initiative is in light with the vision of His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama’s quest to support at least 10,000 viable and scalable businesses every year.

In the quest to ensure transparency, equity, and inclusion in the selection process, the CEO of NEIP set up a Committee made up of ecosystem actors and seasoned entrepreneurs.

The Committee consists of representatives from The British Council, the Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs, Ghana Enterprises Agency, MASLOC, the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment, the Ministry of Finance, academics from the University of Ghana Business School and selected management members of NEIP.

The CEO has tasked the committee to finalize the selection by 1st September, 2025.

In line with the implementation plan for The Adwumawura Programme, the first cohort of beneficiaries will commence their training in middle of September 2025.
