The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has revealed the key strategies behind their overwhelming success in the 2024 elections, which saw Mr. John Mahama triumph with 6,382,397 votes, or 56.55% of the total valid votes cast.
Mr. Mahama’s closest rival, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), secured 4,657,304 votes (41.61%).
Speaking on Kumasi-based Lawson TV, former Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Samuel Yaw Adusei, explained that the NDC learned from previous mistakes and put in place critical measures to regain power.
“We identified the government’s weaknesses and capitalized on them. The government became increasingly unpopular,” he stated.
Hon. Yaw Adusei emphasized that while the NDC was confident of victory, the overwhelming margin exceeded expectations.
Looking ahead, he affirmed that President-elect John Mahama is determined to fulfill his promises and deliver for the people of Ghana.
