President Mahama suspended Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo following the establishment of a prima facie case based on three petitions seeking her removal.
A five-member committee will investigate the allegations against her.
There are three petitions asking that Chief Justice Torkornoo should be removed from office for “stated misbehaviour” in line with the 1992 Constitution.
The committee is composed as follows:
