Former Vice President and flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has emphasized that Ghana’s progress depends on visionary leadership, not personal riches.

He said elections are won by the strength of ideas and the ability to transform lives, not by flaunting wealth or possessions.

Addressing party supporters and residents in the Dormaa West constituency as part of his Bono Region tour, Dr. Bawumia said the focus of leadership should be on the innovative ideas a candidate brings to develop the nation and improve the well-being of citizens.

“Ghanaians do not vote based on personal wealth but on the ideas a candidate offers,” Dr. Bawumia stated.

“No one uses their own money to develop a country. You cannot ask people to look at your properties and vote for you. What truly matters are the ideas you present to the electorate—ideas that can transform lives and drive national development.”

He stressed that his campaign is grounded on practical and transformative policies aimed at strengthening the economy, creating jobs, and ensuring inclusive development across all sectors.

“It is not about money; it is about vision and ideas, and that is what I bring,” he added.
