A new storytelling initiative, “Ghana Makes Me
Feel” and “I Found in Ghana”, has officially been launched in Accra, giving both Ghanaians and international visitors the opportunity to express what Ghana truly means to them.

The campaign captures the emotions, discoveries, and personal connections people experience in Ghana—through a single word.
Speaking at the launch, Farouk Firdaus, Acting Manager of Travel Time Africa, shared the campaign’s vision and purpose:

Vision: To make Ghana’s story a shared, living narrative told through the voices of travelers, locals, and the diaspora—celebrating authentic experiences that connect people to Ghana in meaningful ways.

Purpose:
- Empower Expression – Allowing everyone to describe Ghana in their own words,
whether joy, belonging, or discovery. - Celebrate Diverse Perspectives – Uniting travelers, locals, and the diaspora in a collective narrative.

- Inspire Connection – Encouraging others to see Ghana through authentic eyes

- Create Legacy – Building a lasting gallery of words, portraits, and stories that reflect Ghana’s cultural richness.

- “In short, the vision is to position Ghana as a place of living stories, and the purpose is to
invite people everywhere to actively participate in telling those stories through their own feelings and discoveries,” Ms Firdaus explained.
- The initiative is spearheaded by young Ghanaian entrepreneur Mordecai Quaye, founder of Travel Time Africa (www.traveltimeafrica.com). While his organization is facilitating the project, Mr. Quaye emphasized that the vision goes beyond business:
- “Tourism is about more than visiting places—it’s about how people feel when they
encounter Ghana. By gathering these one-word stories, we are amplifying the beauty and identity of Ghana for both locals and the world to see.” – Mordecai Quaye - The campaign comes at a time when Ghana continues to grow as a hub for international
visitors, particularly following the success of the Year of Return and Beyond the Return
campaigns. It seeks to strengthen Ghana’s image as a leading destination for cultural and heritage tourism, while also creating a sense of pride and ownership among Ghanaians.
